Awards | Barbara Cappochin International Biennial Architecture
Our project Mosca Bianca was awarded as Regional Honorable Mention at the Barbara Cappochin International Architecture Prize 2026 wich is a prestigious biennial award dedicated to promoting quality in contemporary architecture. Established by the Barbara Cappochin Foundation and the Order of Architects of Padua, the prize celebrates works that improve the quality of life and respect the environment.
Mosca.Bianca is a workshop designed as an exhibition space. A ceramic workshop where a single compositional gesture tells the whole process of working with clay.
The form is molded like clay on the potter's wheel, shaped to define a twist from the ceiling. The space is strained by the centripetal force of the design gesture, concentrating the atmosphere around a single zenithal light. Like a sacral element, perfectly coinciding with the lamp piercing the stereotomic silhouette above, a seemingly monolithic exhibition altar stands out diagonally in space.
