In the beating heart of Padua, where medieval history woven into the contemporary urban fabric, a boutique hotel is an opportunity to rethink the experience to “stay".
The materic atmosphere of the historic center inspires an architecture with mass forms, evoking the archetype of the cave, a primal idea of shelter.Like stone blocks, monolithic volumes compose the space, punctuating the various rooms in a play of “light and shadow,” pacing a succession between rooms.
These sculptural pieces stand out as materic presences, entirely clad in ceramics and contrasting with the softness of the surrounding spaces. Hence, a dichotomy is established between the full and the empty, between served and servant spaces, between interior and exterior, thus highlighting the historical context, framed by the windows as pictures on landscape.
